Seeing as it's blowing a gale and raining outside, I've been using my new-found and short-lived leisure to make cakes and restock the shop, which is lush! These are just plain old vanilla buns with a spoonful of plum jam inside.
My never-fail very lazy cake recipe (which surprisingly was learnt from the boy, who is no kitchen king) is this: take two eggs, and weigh them. Weigh out the same weight of self-raising flour, sugar and butter. Swizz them together with a blender and Bob's your Uncle. Well, cook them for a bit as well. What are you doing with your Sunday?

what a simple recipe, the cakes look yummy, i may have to try it out! i've hardly done anything today, i'm about to crack on with some artwork, though.
love, jazzabelle. x
Yummy cakes! I just love baking, but I'm a real stickler for a recipe. I'm terrified that if I go off course even a teeny bit all that work will be ruined! :)
Packing...(boooring!)
That recipe is great can't never go wrong!
I always use it for all my cakes then I add a little something, like rose water and cocoa (for choc cake) or vanilla extract and beans and red fruits... and so on...
Those look really yummy!
What a weird weather isn't it?
X
mmm rosewater sounds nice! I always just go for boring old vanilla. The weather is really very annoying, I have absolutely no idea what to put on in the mornings!
