Göteborg

Trams, canals, antlers, earl grey tea, wet socks, whales, and a cinnamon bun bigger than my head (which we did not manage to finish, I'm ashamed to admit!). We had a brilliant weekend in Gothenburg, and now we're back: a year older, and who knows? Maybe wiser (we went to a good few museums, after all...)

Haha, those cinnamon buns are so weird! It's like every café in that part of town, Haga, is trying to have the largest cinnamon bun even though they taste so much worse that the regular sized ones!
Oh, look at my latest blog post and you will see a very tasty large cinnamon bun actually! (we had a gigantic cinnamon bun as a wedding cake at our wedding :-) )

A cinnamon bun bigger than your head! Now that is something I can get behind!

Looks like an amazing time! I think I could live off that bun for about a week haha;) Wow!

Haha, Lotta, I totally agree: there's no way a bun can be as nice when it is that big! For a start the bun-to-filling ratio goes way off ;) But we rather viewed it as a challenge... we couldn't just walk past the window and not try to tackle one of these!
Your wedding bun/cake looked just beautiful, I'd way rather have one of those than a normal cake!

Michelle and Blue Eyed Night Owl, you'll have to go to Cafe Husaren yourselves, and give it a go! I think a week sounds about right...

Oh, and a little trivia about Café Husaren: When my dad was young he lived very cheap in an apartment in a about to be torned down house in Haga, and earned money working as a troubadour playing the guitar and singing five nights a week at café Husaren. It was more of a worn down neighbourhood pub at that time.

That is an excellent little nugget of knowledge, thank you Lotta!
