Last night I attempted to make redcurrant jelly. Hmph. It was hampered by a few factors, for instance a lack of any particular volume of redcurrants and the fact that the muslin jelly-strainer bag thingy has vanished. Never mind, I've got two small jars of redcurrant and blackcurrant jam now which is dark as the night and powerfully fruity. All's well that ends well, I suppose. Just have to scrape the sticky mess off all the kitchen surfaces!

I have 3 bushes of redcurrants in my garden and so far all i've been doing is stewing them or making compote to go over ice cream. I think i might give jam a go!

mmmhhhh love redcurrant jelly.
the mistery of vanishing things eh!
( it happens to me an awful lot especially with the vanishing sock! not to strain jelly of course, I had a draw full of one sock!).
