Not a paper doll

I really like these images by Anna Duthie, a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art. I saw something very similar at the Brighton textiles show this year, but I can't remember who by. Bad blogger!

Cherry Cherry

The rain is rubbish, but at least it's made all the fruit in the garden grow beautifully. These sour cherries are going to be wonderful. What should I make with them I wonder?

Questions

I'm a little tardy in saying so, but if anyone is interested, I've done a little interview for 11th Magazine, here, and answered some questions on the theme of summer for Shapes and Memories, here.  I must admit that I felt rather wistful gathering answers on 'summer' while the late June rain pounded down outside... it's going to be interesting, I think the 2012 olympics will go down in history not as 'the austerity olympics' but as 'the wet olympics'. If you're coming, bring an umbrella!

PS. The photograph was taken in Southwold, Suffolk, while I was at university nearish by.

I found this photo in a folder of images I took at the John Jarrold printing museum, long ago.

Rosie Williams

I went to the degree show of the textiles course at Brighton University on Thursday, and one of the things that really caught my eye was this abso-bloody-lutely amazing jumper by knitwear designer Rosie Williams (top). In fact the whole collection is stunning and I really like how it's been photographed. These are just a couple of my favourites, but I have to say that I would do all sorts of unsavoury things to get my hands on that jumper...
