Building the Revolution

This is the catalogue from the Royal Academy exhibition 'Building the Revolution', which I saw at the end of last year (it's closed now, it wasn't open for long). It was a fantastic show, nicely demonstrating the parallels between Constructivist drawings and the exciting architecture of the period (sort of what I wrote my dissertation on). The catalogue too is very nicely done, and at the end there is the postcard that I grabbed, of my favourite (and previously unseen) piece - 'Design for Loudspeaker No. 7' Gustav Klutsis, 1922.

The penguin book of...

Some lovely new things to read. A week or so ago, on the way to the cinema, my boy spied that the lovely second-hand bookshop had a sign up in its window: 'all books £1'. So back we went, and I have these pretties to add to the book-queue.
