Rummaging around having a clearout, I came across a pouch of old photos that I took on a lomo 4 frame camera that I got off ebay for 13p. (!) Judging from the box, it was made in the 80s, felt like a very very light and flimsy plastic box, and didn't seem to be functioning quite right as you can see above - most didn't come out and those that did were very over-exposed. Still, a bit of fun! I like the colours in this set.

The blustery day

It's nice and sunny but insanely windy today, which is good for drying my washing quicky but I run the risk of said washing disappearing from my life altogether. Anyway, I'm hiding inside trying to tidy up and start packing as I'm moving to London on Saturday. How are you using your Monday?

Lazy Sunday

Today I made a rhubarb crumble and I ate it ALL to myself. Mmnumnumyumnomnom.

Just love these traditional samplers from Modern folk, sold as pdf patterns. If only I had the patience to try one! Maybe one day...

Rainy Sunday. I've put some of my vintage shoes on ebay - sigh. It's just not reasonable to cart that many shoes from house to house. Speaking of which, check back tomorrow for a moving-house giveaway!

Saturday Candy

Bit of an earring-buying spree - look at the pretty colours! I just couldn't stop at one pair... I would ideally like to wear them all at once with this candytastic dress from Pomp & Pride on etsy. Now, that would be a happy Saturday!

French lessons

These sweet little french cards were a gift from my package project buddy, many moons ago, and I just came across them again at the bottom of a drawer. Love the sweet, traditional typography.

Grandma's beads

This poor tangle of broken old beaded necklaces has been sitting in my mum's jewellery box, and now my little drawer, for years. They have a rather lovely tribal thing going on, and I've been wanting to fix them up somehow and wear some of them for ages. Fixing the whole thing would be a mammoth threading task, but I've got a few strings done and a little extra necklace so that I can wear Grandma's beads again.

Does anyone else sentimentally hoard old broken things like this? :)

My little pot of salad plants basking in the sun. It hasn't rained here for 6 or 7 weeks now, I think, and everything is starting to look a bit droopy.

Making books again

I'd been missing paper, so had a nice time this week making and binding sets of mini notebooks using this method.

They're printed with me doodles and are available in the shop now.

Budding

I love it when all the may flowers come out, the smell is so rich and evocative of happy happy childhood-summer times. Blossom round 2 is coming...

A new collection that I've been working on - each an original drawing on frosted shrinkle paper on a patterny, geometric theme. They are in the shop now.
