The results of the lavender sachet making session. They're a bit rustic-looking ( I think my poor old sewing machine needs a service, it's zig-zagging has all gone to pot!) , but smell really lovely.

I reckon that's mum's christmas present under my belt! (yes, it still feels a bit too early for that sort of talk!)

I took these polaroids (on very out of date film) on my way to the post office the other day. It was such a lovely crisp, sunny autumn day.

Lavender blue, dilly-dally

I have been given a giant bag of dried lavender, cut straight off the bush. It smells amazing.

I'm considering what to do with it all - scented sachets coming up, of course!

Etsy Heroes no.2

Today's etsy hero is the wonderful Nea, who makes both the most mouthwateringly delicious embroidered wall decorations, as well as fantastic jewellery. It's all a bit quirky, and totally lush.

I think my favourite thing is the use of colour; throughout all her work Nea has the most fantastic eye for a colour combination!

Also, isn't 'wall wear' a genius concept? Why not have yummy jewellery for you walls? I don't know where she finds these beautiful vintage frames but I would cheerily knock out a gaggle of cage fighters for a supply of those...

(and I am most definitely a lover, not a fighter. No upper body strength.)

Today I attempted to master the art of taking photos of myself, my trusty photography assistant having gone away for the weekend. My tripod consisted of the coffee table, a step ladder, a shoebox and 3 books. I may start saving up my pennies for a real one...

I impulse-bought several vintage items over the last week, and all have turned out to be too small for me! Boo. The result is, that there'll be some sexy vintage clothingy treats going up in the shop this week for a lucky lady who's smaller than me. Hurray!
