I've re-covered my brooch display in canvas. It used to be a dark green satin, which was nice but it always clashed a bit with the colours in the jewellery. Neutral is best, as my mum and telly are always telling me! Canvas appears to have become my new favourite fabric. I've got a stash of old seed bags from my dad, but it's running out fast... uh-oh! Must find a new source. Anyone got any ideas?

The view from our bedroom window yesterday evening. It was gorgeously misty, and the sunset somehow looked better to my eyes but that's always the way isn't it? I don't have the knowledge to get my photos as good as real life!

New pin badges, stenciled on recycled canvas (from some old seed bags). I'm rather pleased with the rustic texture of the shapes - it's nice when an experiment actually works out, isn't it!

Just playing around with some cardboard stars I cut out for a degree project, and my favourite new framed silhouette. I rather liked the effect, what do you think?

The new silhouettes, as promised below. My love for this paper knows no bounds!

I found these rolls of 'wallpaper' in a little shop that sells things for doll's houses. I've always had a bit of a dolls' house fetish. One day I'll have a ridiculously large, ornate one like the 17th century ones in the Rijksmuseum. Meanwhile, new silhouettes using these papers are going up in the shop!
